YLI- Young Ladies Institute The YLI is an organization of Catholic Women dedicated to the Christian principles of charity and love. I was founded in San Francisco on September 5th, 1887, by three young women inspired to help an ill friend. Approximately 8500 belong in California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii. Our histroy reflects a sisterly care and concern for each other and for those in need. Our purpose is to help others in our organization, our church, and our community. We are an organization for all seasons of life. Some joined just out of high school, some were "Social security age" and manyare in between; but we all know one thing:When there is a need- YLI Sisters will be there. The Bereavement Committee The Bereavement Committee is assigned to set up funeral receptions. This Committee is such an important ministry in our parish . They need people who would be willing to help with fixing food, serving, and/or cleaning up at funeral receptions.The receptions are usually held in the Parish Hall. If you would like to donate food or can take a few hours to help with setting up the hall and/or serving and clean-up we would love to hear from you. Fran Doll has been in charge of the Bereavement Committee for many years and is an expert on putting together thereceptions. She is so appreciative of the help andwould like to thank all who have ministered in one wayor another for all their food, time and effort. The families are so appreciative of this ministry also.
